Pre-moistened viscose tip swab in Deionised Water, polystyrene (breakable) shaft. Supplied in tube only.
Recommended For
Environmental monitoring of sensitive surfaces and equipment where neutralisating buffers are not required or appropriate (eg non-disinfected areas or personnel sampling). Contains no harsh chemicals.
Ideal For
Whole sample analysis as all sample is contained on swab. Clinical and veterinary infection control.
Excellent recovery of organisms including
TVC, Listeria spp., Staphylococci, Enterobacteriaceae eg Salmonella, E.coli (E coli / ecoli / e. coli), Enterobacter, staphylococcus, klebsiella, E. coli Enterobacter, Enterobacter sakazakii.
Known Limitations
Analyse as soon as possible due to the lack of nutrients. Refrigeration will stabilise recovery of some organisms. Not suitable for fastidious organism unless analysed immediately.
Shelf Life
24 months.
Sterilisation Method
Gamma Irradiation to achieve a SAL of 10-6.
